Review of Geronimo RV Resort Miramar Beach, FL

Updated: Aug 28, 2019

Geronimo RV Resort is a beautiful place that we were very lucky to find. We would even call it a hidden gem. It is tucked away between the "main drag" highway 98 and Scenic highway 98. Far enough from the highway that you don't hear traffic noise but, close enough that you are less than 5 mins from restaurants, stores (including outlets), and a pharmacy. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the other campers we quiet and respectful, and there was a large open dog area and two doggy stations. We really liked that the owners live on site and it shows how much they care that it stays nice.

The bathrooms are obviously one of the most important features to a teardrop camper. These were the cleanest bathrooms that we have come across so far. They were also well equipped. There was a handicapped stall with a sink, a regular stall of nice size (I was not crushed up against the toilet like in some other places), the double sink in the main area had great counter space to spread out a little while getting ready. There were also two showers, one with a regular shower head that comes off to be hand-held and one with a rain head. Both showers were 5' x 5' with a chair, rack for holding your shampoo and soaps, and a hook for your bag. Everything was inspected at least daily for cleanliness and stayed very nice our whole trip. There are also laundry facilities and a small camp store.

The sites were large and had concrete slabs with a concrete patio area. Grass was between each site and it didn't feel like we were parked on top of each other. Even the giant class A's seemed to have enough space to feel a little secluded from each other. There was 50 and 30 amp power with breakers, water, sewer, cable, and a telephone jack at each site on very nice pedestals with lights on top so that you could see even at night to hook everything up. They looked like little light houses! In addition to sewer hookups at each site, there was also a dump station. They also had 2.5 gHz and 5 gHz wifi and we ended up right underneath the 5 gHz pole! We never had an issue, even with the campground at full capacity, streaming a movie or browsing online. Working from this location would be very easy.

We definitely recommend this campground if you are in the area. We will be back here the next time we are in Destin.
